BOONE AREA DEATH

     Sherry McCarty Johnson, 86, Meeteetse, WY. Had lived in Wyoming since 2009. Born in Sibley. SHS-54. Earned an X-ray and lab technician certificate in St. Paul, MN. Worked at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge in the radiology department and met Thatcher Johnson. They married in 1956 and settled in Gowrie. Later, she worked as an X-ray tech at the Perry Hospital and then became a rural mail carrier in Madrid, from which she retired in 1996. Was a licensed pilot and was proactive in the Republican Party. Three children survive. A Celebration of Life at a later date. Burial beside her husband, who had died in 1986, in Gowrie.
