Kathleen Ann Miller Newton, 81, Lake Havasu City, AZ. Born in Boone. Married LeRoy Sebring in 1960. They divorced. Worked at Bourns and as an LPN at the Webster City Hospital. Later, earned an RN and worked in Scottsdale, AZ and with the state of Nevada. Married Melvin Newton in Las Vegas in 1992 and in retirement, they relocated to Boone, then on to Lake Havasu City. Survivors include her husband, Melvin, son Mark Sebring, a step-son and step-daughter, a sister, half-brother and sisters-in-law. Services in Story City.
Carla Kay Peterson Seiler, 73, Madrid. Born in Des Moines. Raised and lived her entire life in Madrid. MHS-67. Married Russell LeRoy Seiler in 1969. Worked at Banker's Life for 38 years. At retirement, she was Senior Project Manager/Business Systems. She had lots of hobbies and interests, Madrid Community Chest, Madrid Booster Club, VFW Auxiliary, volunteer income tax assistance and the Madrid Historical Society. Loved sewing, baking, bird watching and reading mysteries. Survivors include her husband, Russell, a son, Christopher, and a daughter, Susan (Walker) Robinett, all of Madrid. Two brothers and a sister-in-law also survive. Services in Madrid.
