Gary Knox, 82, Iowa Falls. Born in Boone. United HS-58. ISU-62. Masters degree from Northwestern in 1967. Married Verdeen Rieck in Madrid in 1961. She passed away in 2017. Had a 39-year teaching career in Iowa at Armstrong and then 34 years at Newton. The couple moved to Eldora in 2005 and then to Iowa Falls in 2011. He loved gardening and was a well known woodcarver. Also enjoyed singing and following sports. Survivors include three children and his sister. Services in Eldora and Iowa Falls.
Kurt Patrick Kline, 55, Dayton, Ohio. Born in Boone. BHS-86. UOI-96. Army vet. After service, enrolled at the State University of Iowa and earned a degee in Psychology and embarked on a sales career with Revolution EHR. Married Annie in Portland, OR in 2005 and they moved to Oakwood, OH in 2006. He was a great father to his two daughters, a good listener with a special thanks to veterans. Survivors include his wife, Annie, daughters Izzie and Lucy, a sister Dee, BHS-74, a brother John, BHS-76, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Services in Dayton, OH.
