Dorothy Teagarden Gee, 97, Cedar Rapids. Born in Grand Junction. BHS-38. Earned a B.S. in Household Equipment from ISU in 1947 and an Associate's Degree of Arts from Kirkwood Community College in 1986. Married Albert George Gee. Her father, Arthur Teagarden, owned a Buick auto dealership in Boone. Survivors include five adult children. Services in Cedar Rapids.
DeWayne (Wayne) Tesdall, 94, Ames. Born in Story City. Married Debra Anderson of Boone in 1949. Army vet. The couple owned Ames Electric Contractors Inc. and Car Wash Park on East Lincoln Way in Ames as well as various other commercial properties. He had many inventions including the Thumbdinger kite winder. Enjoyed hunting and fishing, music, horse races and traveling. A member of the American Legion and Elks Club. Was also quite the entertainer, providing jazz piano and even card tricks. Survivors include two sons, including Joel (Linda) Tesdall of Boone. Services in Ames.
