Mary Ann Mondt Walters, 91, Boone. Born in Boone. BHS-49. Married Cleo (Tom) Walters in 1948. The couple, together, built the successful Tom Walters Company. The couple enjoyed square dancing, touring on Tom's Harley Davidson's and being involved in horses, showing Quarter Horses and being members of the Boone Saddle Club. Mary Ann loved to play Pinochle and Bridge, was a fantastic cook, loved arts and crafts, history, reading, Canadian fishing trips and Iowa State sports. The couple enjoyed being active in the Boone Pilots Association and Mary Ann, with Tom, served as President of that group. Survivors include two Boone daughters, Claudia (Chuck) Lovin and Angela Walters, and a sister Pamela Jones of Boone. Services in Boone.
Alice Jean Sorenson, 92, Ames/Story City Bethany. Survivors include three adult children, including Paula (Denny) Elliott of Boone. Services in Ames.
