BOONE CONNECTED DEATH

     Darwin Ray, 83, Boone/Eastern Star. Born in Pilot Mound. Ogden schools. Grew up on a farm outside Fraser and spent time around the Pilot Mound area. Married Doris JoAnn Wisecup in Boone in 1959. The couple lived in Grand Junction, Boone County, Fort Dodge, Mason City and Storm Lake. They finally settled in Pilot Mound for 27 years. Darwin was employed at Quinn's for 27 years before retirement, due to health issues, in 1989. Loved to talk and was a great listener. Enjoyed cribbage and checkers with Tom, watching western movies and scratching off lottery tickets. He loved to hunt and fish and especially enjoyed date night with Jo, Friday nights at Saint's Avenue Cafe. Survivors include his wife, Jo, a son, Thomas (Debbie) Ray of Boone and two sisters-in-law. No services. Burial later at Bass Point.
