BOONE CONNECTED DEATH

     Frances Diane Duffy Curran, 82, Boone. BHS-58. Born in Boone. Married William Curran II in Boone in 1960. She worked for Mahoney, Jordan, Stratton and Smith law firm before starting a successful real estate career with Robert Ward Co., the Quam Agency and lastly, with the Nerem firm. She received numerous awards for her sales achievements. A longtime member and President of the Boone County Board of Realtors, President of Boone's Futures, served on the Boone school district advisory board and the boards of the Boone Planning and Zoning Commission, DMACC Foundation, United Way, Sacred Heart Parish Council, Boone County YMCA and the Boone Golf and Country Club. She enjoyed abstract painting, decorating, gardening and dancing around the butcher block to ABBA. Survivors include her husband, William II, a son and three daughters, brother and sister-in-law Steve and Jean Duffy of Boone and two other sister-in-laws. Services in Boone.
