Duane Kopp, 93, Boone. Born in rural Dayton. Grew up on the family farm and graduated from Stratford HS. Army vet. Married Evelyn Dutcher. Worked out of Des Moines for the Plumbers and Steamfitter's Local Union #33. Loved hunting mushrooms and spending time in the woods. In retirement, lived in Boone with his companion, Pauline Hora. Four adult children survive. Services in Boone.
Clarence Ewald Ball, 94, Ankeny/formerly of Boone. LeMars HS-47. Received his pilot's license at Western Union College and purchased his first airplane both while in high school. Married Johnnie Lee Klohs in 1946 while serving in the U.S. Air Force. The couple lived in Arizona from 1952-66. Then, lived in Minnesota and finally, Boone, where he developed Specification Chemicals Inc. Survivors include a daughter. Services in Boone.
