BOONE CONNECTED DEATH

   John Bernhard McGee, 82, Arvada, CO. Born in Boone. BHS-58. BJC and an accounting degree from Drake. In 1961, graduated from the Iowa Military Academy. Was an Iowa National Guardsman and served in Europe and Viet Nam. Retired from the guard as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1978. A helicopter flight school grad, he stocked fish by plane in Oregon and fought forest fires in the western states. Also flew for Life Flight in Denver, Spokane and Las Vegas. Retired in 2001. Survivors include his wife, Sharon, a son, daughter, step-son, step-daughter and brother.
