Ardith A. Burton Hammond, 87, Boone/Westhaven. Ogden HS. Married Robert L. Hammond of Boone and they celebrated 65 years together before Bob's passing. She enjoyed following her families activities and was a big fan of state of Iowa athletics, especially ISU women's basketball and, recently, the Indiana Fever team and Caitlin Clark. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Mike) Carpenter and Tammy (Kent) Reimers, and her brother, Bob (Judy) Burton. Services in Boone. Rose Hill Cemetery.

Sharon A. Jackson Holmberg, 85, Boone/Westhaven. Born in Boone. BHS-57. Married Marvin Holmberg in Boone in 1959. Worked at Boyd's Dairy and then at Boesen and Salamas Greenhouses. Her father was a railroad bookkeeper and that led Sharon to a career as a bookkeeper for numerous Boone businesses. Sharon and Marvin volunteered for many years at the Boone and Scenic Valley. She also loved sewing, cooking, baking, gardening and watching house makeover shows on television. Survivors include her husband, Marvin, son Jim, daughter Leisa (Joe) Passet and three sisters, Charlotte Anderson, Janet Cross and Judith Rossey. Services in Boone.
