A WONDERFUL HONOR

     I, the Kornerman, still likes the opportunity to "spout off" about wonderful accomplishments of Boone area natives.

     Bill Wallace, BHS-70, informs me that his brother, Mike, BHS-77, is retiring after 23 years as the Dallas County Conservation Director AND his volume of work has certainly been noticed.

     Bill wrote, "for the past couple of decades, Mike has worked tirelessly on the bike trail. A ribbon cutting will be taking place in the next couple of weeks. In recognition of Mike's work to make this trail a reality, a bridge has been named in his honor and a wonderful image of Mike has been placed on the bridge." It is truly beautiful.

     The Wallace boys are the sons of well known Booneites Henry (Hank) and Rosie Wallace. Hank, of course, served as Boone County Sheriff during part of his long time service to local law enforcement.

      Congratulations Mike.....you've made a big impact.
