The Boone Little League All-Stars, a group of 13-year olds, and Coach Nate Ross are still alive in advanced Little League tournament play.
Earlier, they had won the Iowa District 3 championship with an 8-4 win over Southeast Polk.
Regional play for the team began Sunday (July 14) with a 13-8 victory over Ohio. Kentucky and Indiana play today (Monday, July 15) and the winner of that game will oppose Iowa Tuesday, July 16, at 6:30 p.m..
The Regional is being played in Ankeny at the Park Ridge Sports Complex, so its an easy drive for Boone fans to take in support of their team.
That's tommorrow (Tuesday) at 6:30 p.m. at Ankeny.
This Central Region tournament is the qualifying event for Little League's Intermediate Division World Series.
