John J. Lacey Sr., 85, Vinton. Born in Boone. BSH-55. Air Force vet. Earned a degree in electrical technology at ISU. Married Linda K. Fleming in Boone in 1967. The couple moved to Vinton in 1976 where John farmed and worked as a substation engineer for Iowa Electric, later Alliant Energy for 23 years. John loved to farm and garden and spend time with Linda and family. She passed in 2003. Survivors include two sons and a daughter, a brother from Boone, Jim Lacey, two sisters and two sisters in law. Services in Vinton, burial in Boone.
