BOONE/AREA CONNECTED DEATHS

     Jon David Anfinson, 63, Springfield, MO. Survivors include an aunt, Linda Latimer, and a cousin, Shawn Latimer, both of Boone. Services in Waukee. 

     Gloria Jean Griep Troutwine, 81, Dayton. Born in Fort Dodge. FDHS-60. Married James Eldon Troutwine in 1969. The couple lived and farmed in Dayton until moving to Boxholm in 1975. Gloria was a nurse's aide at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton for over 15 years. In 2009, the couple returned to Dayton. Gloria loved entertaining, birdwatching, feeding a squirrel, crossword puzzles and watching General Hospital on TV. Survivors include her husband, Jim, five children, a brother and two sisters. Services in Dayton, burial in Pilot Mound.

     LeRoy "Gene" Johnson, 90, West Des Moines. Born and raised in Pilot Mound. Air Force vet. Married Wanda Wyatt in 1956. He earned a PhD in educational administration from ISU in 1972. The couple lived in Martell, Tripoli, Maxwell, Cherokee, Kingsley-Pierson, Independence, Mediapolis, West Des Moines and Norwalk. After retiring from school administration, the couple moved to Urbandale. In part-time work, he served the bike department at Toys-R-Us. When fully retired, the couple found a new home in Clive. Survivors include his wife, Wanda, a son, two daughters and four sisters. Services in Des Moines and Adel.

     James "Jim" Jay Perry, 67, Madrid. Born in California. Moved to Runnells and graduated from Southeast Polk HS-75. Worked in construction and maintenance. Married Donna Sibigtroth in 1981 and the family moved to Madrid in 1988. Married Janet Kalsem in 1999. Worked as a Facilities Specialist for a credit union for 12 years. He enjoyed creating and maintaining landscapes. The last 24 years, he was a recovering alcoholic. Loved sports and he and Janet were passionate Chiefs football and NASCAR fans. Survivors include his wife, Jan, several children from his two marriages and a sister. Services in Madrid.
