BOONE/AREA CONNECTED DEATHS

     Craig A. Ginther, Sr., 64, Boone. Born in Des Moines. Bondurant-Farrar HS. Married Jill Smith in Boone in 1998. The couple celebrated their 25th anniversary via a cruise a year ago. Craig worked at 3M in Ames until retirement in 2023. He enjoyed fishing, golf, shooting pool and landscaping his yards. Loved the Hawkeyes, Cubs and Packers and fulfilled a dream watching an NFL playoff game in Lambeau Field in Green Bay. Craig was known for baking and giving away his fudge, root beer and lemon cookies. Survivors include his wife, Jill, four children, a brother, two sisters and a sister-in-law. Services at a later date.  

     Marlin R. Johnson, 76, Boone/Eastern Star. Longtime resident of the Boone/Stratford area. Born in rural Stratford. Valedictorian SHS-65 and DMACC in Boone. Navy vet. Married Deborah Ann Vogel of Boone in 1979. They divorced in 1988. He married Claudia Jean Davidson of Boone in 1996. Marlin farmed with his dad and worked in construction, lumber delivery and security. He had a great interest in photography and loved music, was the organist at his Stratford church. Survivors include his wife, Claudia, of Boone, two sons, a sister and two brothers. Services in Stratford.
