BOONE/AREA CONNECTED DEATHS

     

     Duane "Butch" Anderson, 82, Boone. Born in Boone. Married Karen Elliott in 1962. They divorced. Married Sandra Crandall. They divorced. An avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, Butch worked at various jobs including the Woodward State Hospital and Hallet Materials.Survivors include six children, including Derrick (Stacey) Davidson of Boone, Kim (Martin) Murray of Stratford and Phil (Belinda) Davidson of Ogden. A sister, Peg Bielfelt of Boone also survives. COL at Don Williams Park and graveside services at Rose Hill cemetery.      

     Joann "Jody" Linda Wilhelm Fagerland, 77, Roland. Born in Boone. BHS-65. She worked as a paramedic at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Midwest Ambulance service and Bridgestone/Firestone until her retirement. She enjoyed quilting, golfing, gardening and fishing for walleyes in Canada. Loved to travel, especially spending winters in Maui. Survivors include three children, three sisters, Margaret Sherbon, BHS-58, Bonnie Beal, BHS-67, Kathy Wolfgram, BHS-68 and her ex-husband, Mike Fagerland of Nevada. Friends will meet in Radcliffe Sunday.

      Michael Kennedy, 50, Ames. Born in Ames. Webster City HS-92. Married Robin Ubben in Nashua in 1997. They divorced. Married Heidi Raddon in Ames in 2020. Worked for Kmart, Iowa Select Farms and Dan Foss before 24 years as a Detention Officer for Story County Sheriff's Office. He enjoyed working out, listening to music, coaching his girls in softball, camping and Mario Kart. Survivors include his wife, Heidi, of Boone, two daughters, a step-daughter, a son and brother. Services in Webster City. Burial near Stanhope.

     Arnold "Arnie" Jensen, 86, Ames/Mason City. He and his wife, Jane Aaland, have lived in Ames since 2017. No Boone relatives. Services in the Fareway Conference center at the Cobblestone Inn and Suites in Boone. Burial in Mason City.
