Raymond Peter (Zmo) Zmolek, 87, Boone. Born in Clutier, IA. CHS. Worked in Toledo for Asplundh Tree Service for a short time and then became a lineman for Iowa Electric Light and Power. Ray married Ellen Thomas and they divorced. He then married Mary Hanson. Eventually, Ray became Operations Supervisor with Alliant Energy in Boone. He retired in 1996. Ray and Mary wintered in Mesa, AZ for many years. Ray played basketball in high school and was a big fan of the Hawkeyes and Cyclones. Always willing to help someone in need, he had a great sense of humor. Survivors include two daughters and two step-sons. Services in Boone.
Paul Dragoo, 91, Mason City. Formerly of Boone. Born in Missouri. Princeton HS-49. He married Rose Lee Kincade in Missouri in 1952.The couple moved to Boone and Paul worked for a farmer before working for Boone County for 30 years until his retirement. He was a long-time member of Bethel Church in rural Boone. Served as a board member and was active in the AWANA children's ministry. Also active in the music of the church as a guitar and harmonica player. The couple also enjoyed camping. Survivors include two daughters, a daughter-in-law and brothers and sisters-in-law. Services in rural Boone.
Donnie Huntley, 68, Hubbard, Formerly of Ogden. Born in Boone. OHS-73. Was a professional truck driver and also worked for Karl Chevrolet and Innovative AG Services. Donnie was a race car enthusiast and loved riding his motorcycles. Survivors include his life partner, Anna Gilley, of Hubbard, his mother, Delilah "Dee" (Heck) Huntley of Ogden, three daughters, including Lonnie (Nick) Huntley of Ogden, two sisters, Debi (Dave) Huffman of Boxholm, and Dustine (Mike) Peterson of Ogden and two brothers, David (Kit) Huntley and Darren (Teresa) Huntley, both of Ogden. Services in Ogden.
Richard Ray Peterson, 85, Stratford. Born in Nebraska. Family moved to Hamilton County Iowa when he was just seven years old. Stanhope HS. Took barber training in Des Moines and was in that business in Duncombe Iowa for more than a decade until a tragic accident ended that career. He turned to the restaurant business in Webster City. Richard married Janice Kay (Fohlin) Kraft in 1993 and the couple lived in Iowa and Missouri and spent time enjoying Branson. Survivors include his wife, three adult children, a brother and in-laws. Services in Stratford.
