Joyce Ruth McGinnis Busch, 71, Boone. Born in Hampton. United Community HS. Married Tracy Lee Busch in Boone in 1970. A proud farmer's wife, she also worked as a bookkeeper at Randall's Grocery, Hawkeye Savings Bank, Jordan and Mahoney Law Offices, Total Choice Shipping at Boone Napa and Boone Hardware until retirement in 2017. She was an election worker, a Boone athletic booster, enjoyed coaching youth softball, gardening, canning, going to car races and keeping a beautiful lawn. Survivors include her husband, Tracy, her adult children, Sheri (Jeff) Butler of Eldora and Cory (Christie) Busch and Kelli (Greg) Flynn both of Boone. Survivors also include a sister, Beverley Adreon of Boxholm, a brother, three brothers-in-law, including Joe and Marty Busch of Boone and a sister-in-law, Lori Burma of Boone. Services in Boone.
Karen Lois Riker Walters, 73, Boone. Born in Boone County. U.S. Navy vet. Most recently worked at Walmart as an Associate in the Garden Center. A member of the Boone Moose Lodge #104, she enjoyed cribbage and pinochle with friends, working in her flower garden, watching movies and her grandchildren's sporting events. Survivors include her children, Sandy (Mike) Lee and Bobby (Andrea) Cook and siblings, Dennis, Jim (Jan) and Doug (Marlene) Riker and Judy Atwood and a cousin, Tony Riker. A private service will be held later.
