Raymond Dean Bellegante, 87, Colo. Born in Boone. Pilot Mound HS-53. Married Yvonne Erpelding in Sioux City in 1959. Air Force vet. Graduated from Sioux City Barber School in 1959. He barbered in Colo until 1992, with Ross's Barber Shop until 1966 and then, his own shop. Ray was a bus driver for the Colo schools for five years and worked at Maytag from 1970-92. He loved hunting for mushrooms and asparagus, fishing and listening to fiddle music. Survivors include his wife, his son and two daughters. Services pending.
Walter Robert (Bob) Shuey, 87, Boone. Born in Iowa City. BHS-56. Served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-60. Married JoAnn Peter in Boone in 1967. Worked at Lawson's Grocery for 15 years and then 25 years at Archway before retiring in 1998. Bob also worked in communications for the Iowa National Guard in Ames for a number of years. He enjoyed model trains, puzzles and word searches. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn, and two daughters. Services in Boone.
