Thomas Michael Hamil, 72, Boone. Born in Boone. BHS-70. Married Francine Gibson in Boone in 1972. He worked at Caffrey Wholesale Company for over 40 years. Tom was a champion bowler, loved golf, was a Little League softball coach and loved fishing. Also a hunter, he was an avid member of Ducks Unlimited. Tom and Francine were travelers also. Survivors include his wife, Francine, four daughters, three siblings and an aunt. A private family service will be held later.
Robert Patterson II, 76, Ames. Born in Ames. AHS-65. Navy vet who worked for Iowa State University until retirement in 2003. He loved building and collecting model trains and was a volunteer at the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad and the Ames Food Bank. Survivors include a son and four siblings. He had asked that memorial donations be made to the Boone and Scenic Valley. Graveside service at the Ontario Cemetery.
