Dennis "Den" Harold Knight, 73, Boone. Born in Des Moines. BHS-70. Iowa National Guard vet. Married Teresa (Teri) Burnett in Boone in 1975, 50 years ago. Den worked at Sauer-Sundstrand for 39 years before retirement in 2011. He had advanced from working on the line to becoming a team leader. Den and Teri enjoyed traveling, especially to Laughlin, Las Vegas and Meskwaki, and a special trip to Alaska in 2014. Den was a reader and history buff and the couple visited numerous Civil War battlefield sites. He enjoyed gardening and canning and researching family genealogy. Survivors include his wife, Teri, BHS-73, brother Ed, BHS-73, (Karen) and mother and father-in-law, Bonnie and Larry (Bud) Furst all of Boone. Services in Boone.

Marian Marie Shahan Johnston, 80, Rutledge, MO. Passed away at the Boone County Hospital. Services in Missouri.
Dorothy Ann Nystrom Rothfus, 98, Woodward/Eden Acres/Perry. Born in Ogden. OHS-42. Married Lawrence Rothfus near Ogden in 1949. The couple farmed in the Woodward area. Dorothy was a devoted church member who enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing quilts, tending her garden, raising chickens and selling the eggs to local customers. The couple also enjoyed camping and dancing. Survivors include a son, Ron, and two daughters, Barbara and Beth, a brother, Reuben Nystrom, and two sisters-in-law. Service in Perry.
