BOONE/AREA CONNECTED DEATHS

       George DelRoy Teed Jr., 76, Paton. Born in Colfax. Colfax schools. Army vet. Married Nadine Louise Zollars in Paton in 1975. The couple resided in the Jefferson area until the early 1990's when they moved southwest of Boxholm. For 35 years he was a fulltime bus driver for Boxholm Community Schools after starting as a custodian there. Was an American Legion member, enjoying fishing, camping, shopping and lots of pets. Survivors include his wife, Nadine, of Paton, a son and three siblings. Services in Boxholm.   

       Darwin D. Madden, Sr., 84, formerly of Stanhope. Born and grew up in Mackey. Married Lorraine Joyce Cox, BHS-62, in Boone in 1964. In his younger days, he drove stock cars at Dayton, Webster City and Boone. He worked for Wenger and Madden Trucking, Archway and retired from Fareway in 2006. The family lived in Boone for many years before moving to Stanhope. After retirement, Darwin hauled gravel. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine, and three daughters, Deana BHS-86, Danielle, BHS-93, and Shaunae, BHS-95. Services in Boone.      

       James "Jim" Donald Oppedahl, 82, Cedar Rapids. Born in Boone. BHS-60. Army vet. Gave over 20 years of service to Penford. He loved fishing, shopping online and cheering for the Cubs and Chiefs. Survivors include two sons and four siblings, David, JoAnn, Iver and Suzanne. No services planned. 

       Judy Ann Heasley Shafer, 74, Boone/Eastern Star. Born in South Dakota. Onida HS. Attended the Open Bible College in Des Moines. Met Arlyn at college and married him in Onida in 1968. Arlen passed away in 2021. Judy was passionate about playing the piano and enjoyed wearing her sunhat, planting flowers and trees in her yard which Arlen called a "forest." Loved singing hymns at church. Survivors are a sister and three children, Angie McDonald, Alan Shafer and Anissa, BHS-89, (Chris) Hoskins. Services in Boone.     

     Donald "Don" Campbell, 87. Graveside services at Fairview in rural Madrid. 

     Joann Ramsey Pierick, Born in Madrid. Services in Des Moines.
