Charles Donald Swanson, 80, Boxholm. Born in Boone. Grand Community HS-62. Married Linda R. Olson in 1971 in Odebolt. Earned a B.S. from ISU in Ag Business in 1967.Viet Nam vet. Worked more than 20 years at Farmers Coop Elevator in Boxholm and then with the Boone County Secondary Roads Department. Enjoyed spending time outside, supported the Cyclones, managed the Stark Farm, did some farming with the Larson family and loved the Karl King band concerts in Fort Dodge. Also loved riding his motorcycle. Survivors include two sons and three sisters-in-law, including Jolene Swanson of Ogden. Services in Ogden and Boxholm.
Pauline Carlson Nelson, 100, Boone/Eastern Star. A son, a daughter and a grandson, Scott Nelson, of Boone survive. Private services later.
Don J. Udelhoven, rural Boone. Was the maintenance man at Camp Hantesa from 1976-2000. Had a passion for cars, boats, time at the family cabin and eating his favorite pizza and onion rings at Abbie's Pizza in Bondurant. Friends will gather at Abbie's September 28 from noon to 3 p.m..
Harriett Lin Ellett Burrell, 94, Ames. Born in Perry. PHS-47. Married Robert Scott Burrell in 1949. The couple farmed south of Ogden. Moved into Perry in 1969 and to Hastings, NE in 1973 as Robert became a meat inspector for the USDA. When Bob retired in 1996, they moved to Estes Park, CO. A son survives. A COL will be held later.
Gary L. Aitchson, 89, Ames. Survivors include four sons, including Matt (Dawn) Aitchson of Madrid. Services in Ames.
