Richard Dean Johnson, 87, Ankeny. Formerly of Sheldahl. Served as the State Auditor of Iowa from 1979-2002. Was a National Guardsman. Married Marjorie Sire in 1956. Early in his career, he worked in Madrid as an auto and service parts manager. Eventually became a farm owner and was a long time member of the Boone County Farm Bureau. His home church was the Evangelical Free Church in Madrid and services will be held there.
