BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS

     Velma Boyd Davis, 103, Boone/Eastern Star. Born at home in the area that is now Honey Creek Golf Course. BHS-38. Married Ross Davis in Boone in 1939. The couple lived southwest of Ogden for 32 years before moving to Boone in 1979. They enjoyed square dancing, traveling and mixed bowling. Velma belonged to the Neighborhood Women's Club. She loved writing poems, doing crosswords, playing the accordian and keyboard. She was an amazing baker as well. Ross died in 2008. Survivors include a grandson and nephew. Graveside service at Linwood.

     Grover "Bill" Crouse II, 74, Boone/Stratford Care. Born in Boone. Worked at Fareway warehouse for 49 1/2 years. Health problems stopped him from continuing. Grover was considered a Corvette connoisseur, currently owning his 14th vette. Survivors include his brother, Tim, three cousins and other family members in Texas. Private services.
