Maurice H. Phipps, 82, Boone. Born in Texas. Family moved to Boone in 1950. BHS-60. Attended tech school in Des Moines and became a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 33. Also a member of the Tall Corn Club, Buick Club of America and enjoyed time at the Boone Speedway. Survivors include three adult children Mark (Toni) Phipps of Monroe, Matt Phipps, Pam White and Don Sturtz of Boone, a brother, Ronnie (Bessie) Phipps, of Boone, a sister-in-law, Phyliss Lindahl, and brother-in-law, Howard Williams, all of Boone.Services in Boone.
Janette (Jan) Friedrichsen, 61, Gowrie. Earned a Liberal Arts Degree at Boone Campus, DMACC.
