BOONE CONNECTED DEATH

     Shirley LaVonne Merrill Shuey, 89, Boone/Westhaven. Born in Fort Dodge. Stratford HS-51. Married Donald Edmund Shuey in 1951 in Stratford. The couple lived in England for three years while Don was in the Air Force. Shirley worked for Iowa Electric from 1977 until retirement in 1992. The couple enjoyed wintering in Texas. She loved reading, knitting, sewing, camping, playing cards and "spur of the moment" trips anywhere. Don died in 2019. Survivors include two daughters, including Pat (Marlin) Duehring of Boone, four brothers and two sisters. Services in Boone.
