James A. (Jimmy) Wester, 71, Ocoee, FL. Born in Boone. BHS-70. Army vet. Worked for the railroad and at his parent's carpet store (Wester Furniture) as a carpet and tile installer. Survivors include a son, a sister, Pamela Wester Goldsworth, and a very special cousin. Winter Oak Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Lois Kathryn Grove Johnson, 89, Boone/Eastern Star. Born in Missouri. Grand Junction HS. Married Wilbur Grove in 1950 and started a secretarial career. Her last job was as a secretary at Iowa State. She had battled scoliosis and dementia for many years. Enjoyed nature, animals and in retirement, enjoyed being a foster grandmother. Survivors include three adult children, including two from Boone, son Joe Grove and daughter, Kathy (Dave) Springer. Two sisters also survive. Services in Boone.
