BOONE CONNECTED DEATH

     Mearl Herman Reed, 64, Boone. Born in Story City. BHS-77. Worked for the Northwestern Railroad and in 1978, began working for the Tom Walters company until his retirement in the early 2000's. Married Marcia Mayse in 1999. They divorced. He loved movies and music, going for hikes in the Ledges, fishing and taking road trips with his boys. Survivors include his mother, Mary Reed of Boone, two sons, Ross (Megan) Reed of Ogden and Patrick Reed of Boone, the mother of his children, Marcia, and two aunts. Services in Boone and St. Paul's, north of Boone.
