BOONE/AREA CONNECTED DEATHS

      Raymond "Red" Gene Lundberg, 85, Boone. Born  in Boone. Married Anne Sharon Doran  in Story City in 1963. Ray was a talented residential and commercial painter. He also enjoyed restoring antique furniture. Survivors include his wife, Anne, two children, including Luann (Mark) Huss of Boone. Services in Boone.         

      Cameron J. Neubauer, 31, Boone. Formerly of Ankeny. Born in Boone. Ankeny HS-2011. Worked at Fareway warehouse. A movie buff, he listened too and watched comedians on podcasts and videos. Survivors include his parents, Dan and Nikki Newbauer, a sister, a brother and maternal grandparents, Vern and Betty Butterbaugh. A COL will be held later.

     Donald "Don" E. Campbell, 87, Story City/Bethany. Born in Madrid. Grew up on a farm in the Pilot Mound and Nevada areas. NHS-55. Navy vet. Married Sharon Kay Sowle in Boone in 1958. The couple lived in rural Boone; Wayland, Massachusetts; Rolla, Missouri; Marshalltown and Ames. While farming, he also was a mechanic with Allen Motor Company. Then, he trained in the Ames Lab metallurgy program, eventually working as a metallurgist for the Gillette Company, the University of Missouri at Rolla and Fisher Controls in Marshalltown. He enjoyed woodworking, crafting stained glass, puzzles and travel. Survivors include his wife, Sharon, two children and a brother. Private burial in rural Madrid.
