Lemuel Pete Walter, 84, Madrid. Born in Illinois. Southern Illinois U. graduate. Was a math teacher in Illinois. Started multiple companies focused on asbestos abatement in Illinois and Iowa. Retired in 2014. Was a reader, watched sports on TV and took care of his lawn. Survivors include his wife, Tracy, a daughter and brother.
Linda Ann Cattanach Erickson, 76, Boone. BHS-65. Loved animals, especially dogs. Had collection of anything owls and loved TV crime shows. Preceded in death by her husband, Roger Erickson. Survivors include her children, including Jolene (Erik) McFarland of Boone and Janelle (fiance, Seth Janssen) Needham, of Ogden, two brothers and a sister. A celebration of life later.
Robert Eugene Dutton, 79, Ozark, MO. BHS-60.
Bog Patterson, 55, Boone. Born in Burlington. Burlington Notre Dame HS-86. University of Iowa and ISU. Earned a degree in Computer Science from ISU. Worked as director of technology for the Boone school system for 22 years. He loved batteries, solar energy and the Hawkeyes. Services in Boone.
Teresa Annette Elsberry Bush, 63, Nevada. Born in Boone. Earned a B.S. degree in criminal justice. Worked as the housekeeping supervisor at Accura Healthcare in Ames. Enjoyed camping, loved the holidays and was extremely outgoing and loved working with the elderly. Survivors include her mother, Betty Elsberry, and two sons. Services in Nevada.
Jere Zenor Scar, 65, Woodward. Born in Boone. Attended Madrid HS. Married David Charles Scar in 2000. Worked at Resident Treatment at Woodward Resource Center. She loved dogs, being on the farm, gardening and walking. Three sons and two brothers survive. A celebration of life later.
Stanley Carlton Quick Jr., 89, Des Moines. Grew up in Stratford. Simpson/University of Iowa. Had a dental practice in Storm Lake for many years. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie, and two adult children. Services in Des Moines.
