BOONE/AREA CONNECTED DEATHS

     Edward Judge, 78, Napier. Born in Boone County. Married Beth Peterson in 1967. Earned a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy from Iowa State in 1968. Lived his life in Napier, started farming after ISU and retired in 2009. Survivors include his wife, Beth, of Napier, two sons, two sisters and a brother, Bill (Patsy) Judge of Napier. Services in Boone. Burial in Rose Hill.     

    Vernon Russell Fritz, 95, Boone. Formerly of rural Grand Junction. Survivors include two daughters and a stepson. Services pending. 

     Evelyn Johnson Askelsen, 94, Boone. Northeast HS/Kansas City. Earned a teaching certificate from Iowa Central Community College. Married Kenneth Askelsen in Eagle Grove in 1946. Survivors include a grandson, Collin (Stacy) Askelsen, of Ogden. No services are planned.     

     Jason O. Belcher, 53, Boone. Born in Fort Dodge. Married Jeri Smith at Elk Point, South Dakota in 1993. Was an Army National Guard cook for many years and after 9/11, joined the Air National Guard and served three deployments, Iraq, Dubai and Qatar. He loved to cook and doing Bible studies at church. Enjoyed his military career, playing video games and teaching his children about 80's music and movies. Survivors include his wife, Jeri, son, Evan, daughter, Joy, his mother and a brother. Services in Boone.

     Robert Jodeit, 74, Boone.

     Larry Young, 74, Boone. Survivors include two sisters, Cindy Watson, of Boone and Barbara (Mike) Barker, of Fraser.

     Lorene Geiselhart, 94, Decorah. Born near Rake, IA. Luther college/Iowa State Teachers/University of Northern Iowa. Had a 40 year teaching career. Survivors include four adult children, including Nancy (Keith) Geiken of Ogden. A sister also survives. Services in Calmar, IA.
