What a terrible way to start the brand new year.
In today's, first of the new year editions, the Kornerman has booboo..d big time.
Regarding the motel segment of the Story, I, the Kornerman, obviously confused the Topper Motel with......was it the Shangri-La?
Anyway, the Topper was along old highway 30 next to the Chick-A-Dine restaurant in east Boone. It makes sense because the article was about motels ALONG THE HIGHWAY. I even had described it.......the Shangri-La? as being at the south edge of the downtown area rather than along the highway.
You can still read the "original," note the error and laugh yourself silly about the Kornerman's miscue.
