John G. Tingwald, 62, Boone. Army vet. Worked at Lowe's in Ames. His wife, Lori Rueber, and several other relatives reside in Boone.
Albert Bitz, 66, Boone. His son, two brothers and three sisters survive.
Kenny Knowles, 88, Boone. BHS-52. Great Toreador athlete. Army vet. Earned a business degree at Drake University. Married Phyliss and they had 20 years together before she passed away. During that time, Ken was a banker in Winfield, IA. Married Lois Fredregill and they lived in Urbandale for 21 years before she passed away. Three children survive.
Laverne Vaughn, 100, Boone. Married John Lord Vaughn in Illinois in 1946. He died in 1968 and in 1973, Laverne moved to Boone. Served on the boards of the Boone County YMCA and Ericson Public Library. Four adult children survive including a daughter, Linda Jenny, of Stratford.
