     BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS: Dave Temple, 74, Ames. Grew up in Gilbert. Was a long time Ames resident and ISU grad. Married Cheryl Briley, BHS-68, in 1983. The couple had two sons, Scott and Nathan. Dave was an insurance agent for Alliance General, a sports referee and did some ministry work. There was never a ballgame Dave didn't like......whether it was the Cyclones, high school games and especially, fast pitch softball which he played for several years on several teams. Survivors include his wife and sons, a sister and two brothers, including Roger Temple of Boone.........Janet Jennings, 73, Ogden. Married Randy Jennings  in 1985. Survivors include her husband and four daughters, including Billie Jo Hanson of Boone and Penny Jennings of Ames........Louise Sayre, 90, Boone. Married Carl Sayre in 1952 and the couple lived on an acreage outside of Ames. Louise was a bookkeeper for the Iowa DOT Credit Union which became Members First. The couple had two sons. Penny moved to Westhaven in Boone in 2013. Survivors include a son, a sister and a daughter-in-law Mary Sayre, a Boone resident...........Lathen Ely, 48, Boone. BHS-88. Born in Boone, his parents were Loren, BHS-57, and Karen Abbott Ely, BHS-62,  An Army/National Guard vet, he married Theresa O'Rourke in 1996 and that marriage ended in divorce. The couple had two sons. Lathen worked for UBC and Moeller Electric. Survivors include his mother, son Zachary Ely, daughter Taria Dillon and two sisters, Debi Pestotnik and Lori Walters all of Boone.........Chad Weltha, 45, Jewell. Survivors include his parents, two brothers and three daughters, including Hannah Eickholt of Boone...........Doris Bender, 97, Altoona. Married Art Bender in Perry and the couple farmed south of Perry for more than 35 years before moving to Ogden. Left Ogden in 1989 to move to Montana. Has lived in Altoona since 2012.
