Donald C. Crispin, 63, rural Madrid. Born in Ames. United CHS-77. Worked for Coop in Napier and Luther before farming with his dad. Married Naylene Kyle in Ames in 1983. Was an avid Texas Hold'em player and also enjoyed fishing, golfing, riding motorcycles and watching sports, especially basketball. Survivors include a son, daughter and sister. Services later, including a private gravesite at Rose Hill cemetery.
Joyce Olson McVicker, 90, Lisbon. Formerly of Boone. Born in Hamilton County. Stanhope HS and ISU. Married William "Bill" K. McVicker in 1951. Worked many years as a Medical Records Librarian. She loved camping with Bill in their RV and later, their park model home. Enjoyed music, golf, hiking, dancing, reading and bird watching. In retirement, Bill and Joyce had returned to Boone after many years away. After Bill's passing, she moved on. Survivors include two sons and a daughter. Services in Hiawatha and Midway IA.
Robert Eugene Sullivan, 92, Des Moines. Born in Boone. Des Moines Tech-50, Grandview-73 and Drake-81. Guard vet. Worked for Northwestern Bell/U.S.West. Daughters and sisters survive. Services in Des Moines.
