Marynard Van Roekel, 90, Des Moines/Hampton Care Center. Air Force Vet. When discharged in 1959, he and his wife, Betty, moved to Boone so he could attend Iowa State University. He earned a degree in Operation Engineering from ISU in 1965, started traveling the state for IBM and the couple moved to West Des Moines. Three adult children, a brother and sister survive. Services in Des Moines and Pella.
