BOONE AREA DEATHS

     Harry Ronald (Ron) Shreve, 87, Luther. LHS-55. Took a tech course at DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago. From 1956 to 1962, he did TV repair work, farmed and was a machinist at Vigors Enterprises. Had a 30-year career as a TV engineer at WOI-TV in Ames. Army vet. Married Cheryl in 1988. An ISU fan, he enjoyed the "little things in life," such as nature, animals and especially, children. Spent lots of time in his garage, building and maintaining things like lawn mowers, cars, trucks. Was especially proud of the appearance of his property. Survivors include son Duane, daughter Diane (Don) Shearer, sister Linda (Bill) Pennington and brother, Bill Shreve. Services at the Arboretum.
