HE GOT HIS HAIR CUTS AT THE HOLST HOTEL

Gary Knox, UC-58, wrote, "you mentioned the Hotel Holst. My dad took me there for some haircuts when I was growing up. The barber shop seemed huge. I wonder if there are any photos of the shop or interior of the hotel. The Holst's owned farms in Boone County. One of their farms was the next farm north of ours on highway 17. A nice house was built on the property for the Sundberg's who farmed the land. I had no idea what business arrangements they had with the Holst's. I worked for Mr. Sundberg stacking hay bales in a super hot barn hay mow one summer."
The Kornerman responds, "without hesitating, I would say with certainly that one of our good Boone resource folks......Larry Adams or Ed Mondt particularly........have photos inside and out of that hotel."

Larry Kelley, BHS-64, wrote, "thanks for sending me the list of names of people at BG over the years. There are still two or three others not on the list. One, a tiny lady doing the news reporting around 1976. Another is Robin (?) Roberts and he also reported the news. Another guy was heavy set who was a news reporter. I think the lady lived in Ames. Can you remember any of these?"
Larry also reported he has a new email address.........LDK@JAKmusic.net.
The Kornerman says,"Larry was responding to that huge, and we thought, rather complete list of former KWBG employees provided by Larry Adams, BHS-65. We had sent a copy of the list to Larry.
