Glenda Rae Peters Tullis, 77, McAllen, TX. Born in LeMars. Lawton HS. Married Tom Tullis in 1970. The couple lived in Sioux City until moving to Boone in 1985. Her life was defined by love, connection and dedication to others. She developed bonds with people from all aspects of life from school days, through church, bowling and Texas activities. For over 15 years, the couple loved their second home in Mission, TX for six months of each year. Glenda was a woman of deep faith, very dedicated to her church. Survivors include her husband, Tom, four adult children, Kelly, Troy, Michelle and Jennifer, a sister and brother. A COL will take place later this spring in Boone.
Barbara Lee Keith Washburn, 74, Council Bluffs. Born in Ottumwa. Barbara grew up in Boone. Her father, Leonard Keith, owned Leonard's Barber Shop, prior to it becoming Arlo's Barber Shop, located under Holly's/Modern Dress. Survivors include her husband, Harold Washburn, a son, a daughter and a sister. Services in Council Bluffs.
Diana Clara Christensen Glidden, 84, Ames. Born in Goodell. Ventura HS. Married Robert Glidden in 1961. They divorced. Graduated as a cosmetologist and after retiring, managed Van Hemert's Dutch Oven Bakery in Ames for over 25 years. Well known for her creative cakes. She met Bud Whillock in 2008 and the couple traveled extensively. Also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Survivors include her daughter, Terri (Denny) Van Hemert of Ogden, her partner, Bud Whillock, a son and grandchildren, including granddaughter Courtney (Travis) Van Lengen of Boone. Private graveside in Garner Iowa.
