Fern L. Abramson Broome, 85, Boone/Eastern Star. Born in Boone. BHS-57. She was an in-home health care assistant and worked for Lutheran Social Services and Kelly Assisted Living. Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Broome. Service in Linwood Park Cemetery.
Diana Rae Devries Campbell, 78, Madrid. Born in South Dakota. Grew up in Rapid City. RCHS. Married Eldon Campbell in 1965 in Rapid City. In 2002, the couple moved to Madrid. She loved making quilts and the couple especially enjoyed making quilts for veterans. Diana loved watching the sunrise and sunset. Survivors include her husband, Eldon, and two sisters. Services in Boone and Madrid.
Karen Jean Quist Anderson, 83, Dayton/Grandview. Three children survive, including Daniel (Traci) Nelson of Boone. Four step-children also survive. Private local graveside service.
Lovey Mae Budd Mondt, 97, Boone. BHS-45. Married Norman (Gene) Mondt in Boone in 1947. History degree from ISU. Worked for the Iowa Department of Social Services, Boone Count DHS for 10 years and the Woodward Resource Center until retirement in 1990. She loved horseback riding, camping, fishing, dancing, playing cards, gardening, taking bus tours and Amtraking. Longtime member of her church, was a Pinochle Club member, a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and also had membership in Maji Chapter #139, Beta Sigma Phi, Phi Theta Kappa and the Kappa 20th Chapter. Survivors include a daughter, Karen (Randy) Johnson of Ogden. Services in Boone.
