BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS: Richard "Doc" Vermillion, 90, Boone, Formerly of Ogden. Newton HS-47. U.S. Navy vet. Earned degrees from the State University of Iowa and Des Moines University. Married Pat Kleinendorst in 1949. Started work at a Des Moines clinic but Dr. Jack of Ogden hired him on a temporary basis in 1960 and that, eventually, became a lifetime job, serving patients of the Boone/Ogden area until retirement in 2016. Survivors include four adult children, two boys and two girls, and their families..........Sharon Gibson-Lamb, 78, Des Moines. Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly (Greg) Weaver-Fritzsche, of Boone.
