BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS: Robert North, 79, Boone. Passed away in Dallas, TX......Joan Mattingly, 79, Wichita, KS. Formerly of Boone. Harlan HS-58. Earned a teachers certificate from Iowa State Teachers College, 1962, and a B.S. in education from Iowa State University, 1984. Taught elementary grades in Guthrie Center, Jefferson and Gilbert and was an aide at the Boone schools. Married Bob Mattingly in 1962. Worked at Iowa State as a secretary from 1985-2002 when she retired. Survivors include a daughter and two sons, including Daniel of Boone..........Charlotte Judge Sawyer, 92, Boone. BSH-44, then AIB. Worked at the old Boone hemp plant, as a bank employee and a hospital volunteer. Married John Sawyer in 1946. Survivor include three sons, including Tom of Boone, a daughter, a daughter-in-law and two sisters, including Susan Lawler of Ogden.
