BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS: Ricky Conrad, 60, Boone. Born in Boone. Drove for Rail Car Express from 2008-2019. Boone survivor is a brother, Ritchie Conrad, of Boone.........Fred Rather, 94, Boone. Was a cabinet maker and owned and operated a construction company until retirement in 1990. Married Helen Storey in 1949. Survivors include two daughters, Becky Eide, BHS-73, and Patty Osterkamp, BHS-79, a sister and sister-in-law.........Bob McCaffrey, Des Moines Roosevelt HS. Drake University grad. Was Director of the Pharmacy at the Boone County Hospital until 1999. Left Iowa but came back to Boone in retirement in 2010. Married Cynthia Dennis in 1960 and the couple had two children, Cynthia and Kristine. After their divorce, he married Jane Hoagland in 1975 and they had two children, Todd and Janan. Wife Jane and the four children are survivors..........Tad Beckett, 52, Boone. BHS-86..........Brian Meyer, 67, Ely. Jefferson HS. Married Dianna Musgrove in 1980. They divorced. Was a lineman for Alliant Energy for over 30 years. Two sons and four siblings survive.
