BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS

     BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS: Shirley Richmond Peterson, 81, Urbandale. Formerly of Boone. After high school, BHS-55, she moved to Des Moines and married Merlin Peterson. She owned ACE Concrete for 30 years. Her husband and three daughters survive. A brother, Gary Richmond, of Boone also survives......Arlene Wirth, 96, Ames. She married Edward "Bud" Wirth at St. Peter and Paul's church in rural Gilbert. Arlene was a homemaker and farm wife. The couple raised nine children, five sons and four daughters, most of whom are residents of the Gilbert/Ames area. Husband Bud is deceased. The couple moved to Roland in 1978 and to Ames in 2001.........Paul Fritcher, 99, Boone..........Ila Bell, 93 (almost), Boone/Madrid. She married Max Bell and in 1961, the couple and their two daughters, Beverlee Bell and Karen Bell-Hanson, moved to Boone. The two daughters survive........Donald Steinhoff, 91, Topeka, KS. Formerly of Boone. Army vet. Worked for AMF for 32 years prior to retirement in 1990. He and his wife, Agnes, raised a family in California but moved to Boone in retirement. Wife Agnes, three sons and four daughters survive........Caroline Owen, 104, Westhaven/Boone. Five children survive including a daughter, Elizabeth Lange of Boone. ...........Kathleen Bice, 61, Woodward. Gilbert HS. Married Michael Bice in 1998. Worked at the Woodward Resource Center for 29 years prior to retirement in 2013. Her husband, Mike, and her father, August (Bud) Staebler, survive as do four children including Michelle Sharr of Woodward.
