     BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS: John Veale, 89, Boone. BHS-46. Worked for Fareway and was a Boone postal employee. Boone area survivors include his wife, Barbara, of Boone, a son and a daughter who live out of state and a daughter in law, Kellie Veale, of Ames. Also surviving is a sister, Janet Buck, of Boone and a brother..........Chad Brensel, 47, Boone. BHS-88. Owned and operated Belluci's Pizza. Boone area survivors include his mother, Lynn Belluci-Adams, his grandmother, Lorraine Belluci, aunt, Kristine Fisher, and uncle, Larry Adams, all of Boone.......Leslie Portwood, 94, Harlan. Formerly of Boone and Clear Lake. Military vet. He and his wife, Pat, moved to Boone in 1964 and he worked at ISU from 1968-86.The couple moved to Harlan in 2002. Three girls and two boys are among the survivors........Earl (Butch) Lyons, 72, Ogden. Formerly of Beatrice, NE. Military vet. He was Police Chief in Kansas for 12 years. Worked as a custodian at a church in Beatrice from 1985-2004. He and his wife, Vera, moved to Perry, then to Ogden. Boone area survivor is his wife, Vera, of Ogden. Three boys and a girl and stepchildren, a son and a daughter, survive........Arlene Toepfer Topper Leeper, 89, Arvada, CA. Was born in Boone. BHS-46. Earned a degree from Iowa State Teachers College and married Tom Leeper in Boone in 1949. Moved to Arvada in 1958.
