Earned degrees from Drake and the University of Iowa. A teacher, she taught in Ogden and she and her husband, Paul, deceased, lived in Ogden for 55 years before she moved to Grimes in 2006. Two sons survive.........Phillip Johnson, 80, Jewell. Born in Stratford. A Marine vet. Owned and operated his own trucking firm. Was a Boone VFW member. Boone area survivors include his wife, Julia, daughter, Rochelle Hill of Stratford, and son, Nicholas, of Stanhope.........Julia (Judy) Shuey, 78, Boone. Ames HS-57. Married Ken Shuey, deceased, in 1958. Worked at the Iowa High School Athletic Association. Boone area survivors include a daughter, Sue, and sons, Steve and Monty, all of Ames.
