BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS
Marjorie Louise Wisecup Moffitt, 89, Indianola. Formerly of Boone. Born in Worth Township in Boone County. Grew up on a farm near Luther. Luther HS. Worked for Northwestern Bell and Citizen's National Bank before marriage to Clayton Moffitt in 1955. He passed in 2013. She was always active raising Arabian Horses. Survivors include a daughter, her brother and sister in law, Stan and Marlene Moffitt, of Boone and two sisters-in-law.
Marvel Aileen Behn, 98, Detroit, TX. Formerly of Boone. Had lived in Detroit with a daughter since 2020. Grew up in the Dallas Center area, Dallas Center HS. Attended AIB and worked for the Iowa Farm Bureau in Des Moines. Married Ernest Behn in 1943 and they farmed near Boone. She worked for Welch Photo Studio, coloring photos, and later, was heavily involved in China decorating. Survivors include two daughters and two sons, including Jerry Behn of Boone.
Rebecca Lee Pittman, 76, Stratford/Ames. Growing up her family moved to several Iowa communities. She married Roscoe Catlett in 1965 and they moved to Madrid while he worked for Rolfes of Boone. As a sideline, Roscoe was a shoe repairman, Pittman Shoe Repair and then Catlett's Shoes and Repair, picking up shoes in several central Iowa communities, including Boone, for repair work. The couple eventually divorced and Roscoe died in 2003. Rebecca then lived in the Ankeny/Des Moines area. Survivors include two daughters.
