     BOONE CONNECTED DEATHS: Brian Cottrell, 61, Boone. Married Cathy Cosgrove and graduated from Northwestern in 1980. Worked as an I.T. for the Iowa Department of Transportation for 30 years. Over a 36 year period, he had three kidney transplants. Survivors include his wife, Cathy, his mother, Elaine, brother, Kevin, and sister, Brenda Babberl, all of Boone..........Herman Ninneman, 85, Boone. Lytton HS. U.S. Army vet. Married Norma Brinker in 1953. Was a linotype operator for several newspapers, including the Boone News Republican. Then was a graphic artist for the Iowa DOT. Was very involved in vocal music. Survivors include a son and two daughters and two sisters-in-law..........Elvera Bollenbaugh, 81, Boone..........Robert Ratliff, 76, Madrid..........Thomas McElherne, 95, Ames. Army vet. Married Bonnie Clauson in 1948 and she died in 1972. Married Frances Ryerson in 1973. Earned a degree from ISU and worked for the Iowa DOT. Survivors include seven children from a blended family, four girls, including Janice Ryerson Froning of Ogden, and three boys. A sister-in-law also survives.
