Michael Ray Ferry, 87, Cedar Rapids. Grew up in Boone. BHS-57. Army vet. Held a variety of jobs but his first love was music. Mick played with bands around the state, then in Arizona and Indiana before returning to Iowa. Sadly, he became an alzheimer's victim. Survivors include five brothers, Terry, BHS-61; Jim, BHS-65; Tom, BHS-67; Kevin, BHS-72 and Kelly. Services in Cedar Rapids and burial in Boone.
Ruth Irene Elifritz Van Dyke, 88, Boone/Westhaven. Born in Des Moines. Married Ralph Van Dyke in 1953. A son and a daughter survive. No services are planned.
Jim A. Jensen, 64, Madrid. Born in Perry. North Polk HS-60. Drove a feed truck for Cargill and helped local farmers transporting their grain. A very talented mechanic. Survivors include his mother, Linda, and a sister, Debbie. Memorial service in Madrid.
